Training & Placements
We offer placements to trainee counsellors. Working with a variety of clients gives you broad experience toward your training hours, and there are opportunities for further training along the way.
How to apply
Apply directly through our application form. You'll answer a few questions about yourself, your training and your approach, and attach your CV. Please answer in your own words - applications that appear to be AI-generated will not be progressed.
We're not always able to take on placements, but you're welcome to send us your details, and if an opportunity comes up we'll be in touch. If you have a question first, feel free to get in touch.
Supported from day one
As part of your placement, you'll be supported by our student co-ordinator, who will be your initial port of call. You'll also have support and guidance from the wider team of volunteers.
Peer support every six weeks
We run a counsellor peer group every six weeks: a space to reflect on your work, share experiences and learn from each other.
Face-to-face and remote
You'll work with clients both in person and remotely, across all areas, so you build varied experience toward your training hours.
